AZUSA, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Downtown Azusa is preparing to welcome classic cars, custom vehicles and families for a Route 66-themed community gathering that also encourages donations of toys for local children.
The organizer’s event page lists the Cruising Back 2 Route 66 Toy Drive & Classic Car Show for Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 523 N. Azusa Avenue, Azusa. The listing describes a city-permitted event and says spectator admission is free.
What is planned?
Organizers advertise classic cars, lowriders, hot rods, entertainment, awards and vendors in the downtown corridor. The promotional listing mentions hundreds of expected vehicles, but that figure is an organizer projection, not a verified attendance count.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the toy drive. According to the organizer’s announcement, participating show vehicles have a separate $25 registration fee plus an unwrapped toy. Do not confuse the vehicle registration fee with spectator admission.
Check the start time
Published event descriptions do not fully agree on visitor hours: one booking header says 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the detailed organizer text identifies a 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. event window and a 6–10 a.m. vehicle roll-in. Those differences should be resolved directly with organizers before traveling or entering a show vehicle. The advertised address and November 8 date are consistent.
The event could affect traffic and parking on or near Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. Drivers should follow posted temporary restrictions rather than assume normal curbside access.
For questions about vehicle registration, vendors and exact spectator hours, the organizer lists (626) 430-8353.
